UTGSM Rebrands as UTHSC College of Medicine, Knoxville
On October 1, 2025, the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) officially rebranded as the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine, Knoxville (UTHSC COM-Knoxville). This milestone reflects the growth of medical education and research in Knoxville while strengthening alignment with the statewide University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
The new name reflects Knoxville's growing role within the statewide UTHSC system and reinforces its contributions to education, research, and patient care. The rebrand also provides greater clarity to external audiences, enhancing brand recognition and creating stronger connections with partners across the state and beyond.
This rebrand reflects an exciting new chapter for Knoxville. By aligning more closely with UTHSC, the campus is positioned for continued growth in medical education and expanded opportunities for collaboration across the state.
